THE FIFTH ELEMENT DESKTOP THEME 1.0 Welcome to the Fifth Element Desktop Theme 1.0 created by yours truly, Scott W. Davis. By now, you’ve unzipped the zip file into a folder of you choice. Just click on the desktop theme icon and away you go. IF THE THEME DOES NOT FULLY LOAD WHEN YOU DO THIS FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS: WALLPAPER 1. click your mouse where the wallpaper should go 2. select properties 3. go to the background 4. click browse 5. go to the folder you saved the 5th Element file in, and select file “5th Element wallpaper” (you may have to convert from JPEG to Bitmap) 6. hit OK SOUNDS 1. open your control panel 2. go to sounds 3. for each sound, hit browse, go to your 5th Element files and save the sounds accordingly. They have been named after the sounds they are meant to correspond with (5th Element asterisk, 5th Element exclam, etc.) 4. hit OK ICONS 1. go to properties again 2. go to Plus! 3. select an icon 4. hit browse 5. go to your 5th Element file and select the file that corresponds with the icon. They are named accordingly (5th Element my comp, etc.) 6. Do this for all icons CURSORS 1. open up your control panel 2. go to mouse 3. go to pointers 4. hit browse 5. for each cursor, go to your 5th Element file and select the cursor that corresponds to it. They are named accordingly. 6. do this for all cursors FINAL STEP: VERY IMPORTANT 1. after you have selected all your settings, open up the control panel 2. go to Desktop Themes 3. hit “save as” 4. go to your 5th Element file and select the theme “5th Element.” 5. Hit OK. If it warns of an overwrite, click yes. And you’re set. Hope you enjoy the theme.
